Notable guests in the 1920’s and 1930’s included celebrities like Charles Lindbergh, Greta Garbo, Charlie Chaplin, and Bob Hope. In recognition of its historical significance, La Venta Inn was designated as a California Historic Resource in1990 by the California State Office of Historic Preservation.
